Fresh and unexpected, sculpture by Chris Rom & Geoff Buddie is great affordable art!
Formerly potters who got tired of the repetitiveness of production, Rom & Buddie are a husband-and-wife team who create surreal yet friendly sculpture from clay, felted wool, and found materials.
Coming out of a craft background, the artists play with the idea of function, creating plates you can’t eat off of, bottles you can’t fill, etc.
This one-of-a-kind piece is made from porcelain incised with black lines, and a rectangular piece cut from the bottom of a traffic cone. From the series of 6 pictured below.
Each measures approximately 6” in diameter and 1” deep.
