This beautiful picture frame is gorgeously built from solid hickory. It features an asymmetrical natural edge and a 5 1/4” x 3 1/4” window.
Working in their home studio in Louisville, Kentucky, Matt and Heather King (Turning Green) make each frame by hand from reclaimed hardwood. The wood is sourced from Chicago-area trees that have died naturally or have been cut down for construction. Many of these trees would otherwise be sent to landfills.
Photos are easy to insert from the back of the frame, and are held in place by a wooden backing and hinges. Each frame is finished with an organic hand-rubbed linseed oil and beeswax mixture.
